
Vergine Keaton
After studying cinema and graphic design, Vergine Keaton directs her first short film I Was Crying Out at Life. Or Agains Her in 2009. This movie, projected in hundreds of festivals, including Cannes (ACID selection), received a dozen prices. Le Tigre de Tasmani, her last opus has been selected to the 2018 Berlinale. She created for the exhibition “Opéra- World” of the Centre Pompidou-Metz Museum, the installation “Vous qui venez ici”. She is now artist resident at the Ateliers Médicis.
Her deconstruction of popular iconography and classical paintings, her dramaturgy of downfalls, explosions and re-appropriation of art make of her a unique iconoclast.
