Paul Driessen

Biography

Paul Driessen is an animated film director born in 1940 in the Netherlands. He participated in the animated feature film Yellow Submarine in 1967 for which he animated the character of Jeremy the Nowhereman. He moved to Canada in 1970, where he made short films with the help of the National Film Board of Canada. His work is characterized by a flickering line, with which he plays without stopping. It also operates incessant games of logic with the image, on the different interpretations of the vision of an event, and the problems of subjectivity and interaction that it generates.
