Hedi Nabil was born in Bagnolet in 1994, and he currently lives and works in Paris.
He graduated from the illustration section of ESA Saint-Luc in Brussels and also from the Beaux-Arts in Paris. In 2015, he produced the fanzine Ô jour, Ô jour, published by the Red Lebanese publishing house. In 2017, he began a collaboration with musician Mad Rey by illustrating the cover of the album Balabushka.
In 2017, he embarked on a journey to China, following the Silk Road routes. He traveled from Beijing to Dunhuang, stopping at the edge of the Gobi Desert, where he discovered the Mogao Caves. This trip was a revelation for Hedi Nabil. Since then, he has tried to convey through his various artistic practices the impressions of this journey, whether in the themes he explores or in the staging of his works. From Belgium, he mentions keeping in memory “the purity of its light when the first days of spring return, the red of his country, and the memory of his Belgian friends”.
In 2022, a new collaboration with Mad Rey emerged with the production of the music video Bientôt la lumière, co-directed with Thami Nabil. Also in the same year, the music video for Poster Child by the Red Hot Chili Peppers was released, co-directed by Thami Nabil and Julien Calemard, with Hedi Nabil contributing to the animation.
In 2022, Hedi Nabil participated in the exhibition 100% l’expo at La Villette, as well as the Felicita exhibition presented at Poush.
