Synopsis

Le Parfum d’Irak was born in the tweets published by Feurat Alani about his personal history and that of his native Iraq: more than 10,000 messages that tell his daily life and family stories, his encounters from Baghdad to Fallujah, as well as his life in Nanterre, France. After his book adaptation (Le Parfum d’Irak, Albert Londres 2019 award), and a web series on Arte’s website, this TV format continues the story and takes a look at the more recent events in the country’s history, the “Daech years” from 2011 to 2017.
