Opened in May 2022, the Miyu Gallery is the first gallery in the world entirely dedicated to contemporary animation. It represents the work of animation directors, who are, in essence, polytechnic and polyform, and promotes animation techniques in contemporary visual practice.

Simon Rouby

Simon Rouby, born in 1980, has studied film direction at Gobelins (Paris) and Calarts (Los Angeles). His school films have been selected in many international festivals.

His first feature “Adama” (2015), was pre-selected to the Césars and to European Film Awards. Boarder of the Académie de France in Rome, Villa Médicis in 2016-2017, he developps a video research which he continues in 2018 at the  Kerguelen islands, as winner of the Atelier des Ailleurs, then at the Cité internationale des arts in 2019.
