MIYU Distribution

Founded in 2017 through the collaboration between Luce Grosjean and Miyu Productions, Miyu Distribution specializes in the international sales and distribution of animated films. The company handles a wide catalogue of short films from independent production companies and filmmakers, as well as graduation films from leading animation schools.

With 10 Oscar nominations, 2 César Awards – Été 96 by Mathilde Bédouet (2024) and Yuck! by Loïc Espuche (2025), a Palme d’Or and the Annecy Cristal for Best Short Film for 27 by Flora Anna Buda (2023), as well as two Best Short Film Distribution Company awards from UniFrance and La Fête du Court Métrage (2021, 2024), Miyu Distribution has established itself as a leader in its field.

Since 2021, Miyu Distribution has also been handling the international sales of animated feature films, including Archipel by Félix Dufour-Laperrière (Rotterdam, Annecy) and Dozens of Norths by Koji Yamamura (Annecy Contrechamp Award). In 2025, the company acquired the rights to La gran historia de la filosofía occidental by Aria Covanomas, selected at Rotterdam, and Olivia & Las Nubes by Tomás Pichardo Espaillat, awarded at Locarno.

BangBang is a YouTube channel dedicated to independent animation. Explore a curated selection of short films by both filmmakers and animation students, along with thematic playlists: genre films, LGBTQ+ stories, documentaries, and behind-the-scenes content, including making-ofs and artist interviews.

Luce Grosjean

Co-founder and President

In 2014, Luce Grosjean founded Sève Films, a distribution company dedicated to promoting student animation films in festivals and supporting emerging directors. In 2017, she joined forces with Miyu Productions to establish Miyu Distribution, a company specializing in festival distribution and international sales for animated films.

Ambre Anagnostides

Head of festival distribution

With a Bachelor's degree in Cinema from Paul-Valéry Montpellier 3 University, she specialised in distribution. After a work-study programme at Miyu Distribution, she has been working for the company since October 2025, with a keen interest in animated films.

Annabel Sebag

Head of sales

Passionate by beautiful images and animated films, Annabel Sebag entered the distribution sector in the early 2000s.
After six years developing the animation sales department for Premium Films and ten years as sales manager at Autour de Minuit, she joined the Miyu Distribution team in 2021 to continue championing the best in animated films!

Lydia Ben Iken

Communication Director

Lydia is a graduate of Sciences Po Paris. Before joining Miyu, she worked at Ubisoft, where she notably served as a project manager for the CEO’s office. She is now in charge of all communication strategy matters for the Miyu group.

Cyril Smet

Administrative and Financial Director

He joined the Union of Independent Producers (SPI) in 2005 and was appointed cinema delegate in 2008. He held this position for eleven years, during which he defended the collective interests of independent producers and provided individual support to member companies. In 2019 he joined Miyu, where he is in charge of the legal, administrative and financial management of the company's projects.

David Dos Santos

Accounting Manager

Former infographist, he undertakes in 2017 a professional reconversion in accounting and obtains his diploma of Accounting Assistant and Payroll Manager at IFOCOP Paris XI. He will do his work-study at Miyu in 2019 before joining the team permanently in 2021 after obtaining his diploma.
