Koji Yamamura

Born in 1964 in Nagoya (Japan), Koji Yamamura is considered as one of the greatest independent animation Japanese. He gained international recognition with his short film Mount Head (Atama Yama), the first Japanese short film to receive the Grand Prize at the Annecy International Animated Film Festival, and selected for the Oscar Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film in 2003. Today he continues to create films in his production studio founded in 1993, Yamamura animation.
